1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions are the agreement between you and Ocevalon (ocevalon.com). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Ocevalon.

2. Who can use Ocevalon

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please use Ocevalon with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
Give accurate information when you register and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer an account, and do not create a new account to avoid a suspension.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You must have the right to share it.
By posting, you give Ocevalon a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, display and distribute your content on the platform, in line with the visibility you choose. We do not sell your content and do not use it for unrelated commercial purposes.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others and normal backup cycles.
Posts and comments express the views of their authors, not Ocevalon.

4. Acceptable use

You must follow our Community Guidelines, Copyright Policy and Academic Integrity Policy. You must not:

harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against others;
impersonate another person or claim qualifications, positions or institutions you do not have;
post spam, scams, malware or illegal material;
try to access other accounts, attack or overload the site, or scrape personal data;
use Ocevalon for any unlawful purpose.

5. Moderation, suspension and termination

We may remove content and restrict, suspend or close accounts that break these rules. See the Account Suspension and Appeals Policy. You can stop using Ocevalon and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Data Retention and Deletion Policy).

6. The service

Ocevalon is provided free of charge and as it is. Features described as planned are not available yet. We may change, pause or remove features, and we cannot promise the site will always be available or free of errors.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Discussions on Ocevalon are opinions and experiences shared by members. They are not verified facts, professional advice or an endorsement by Ocevalon. Please check important information with reliable sources.
Profile claims such as qualifications, positions and job or event listings are provided by members and are not verified by Ocevalon unless a page clearly says so.
To the extent allowed by law, Ocevalon is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by content posted by members or by interruptions to the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. This does not remove any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you keep using Ocevalon after a change, you accept the updated terms.
